Himalayan Cat

FAQ's

How long has Burton's Persians been raising cats?

Since 2005

Are the kittens bred from cats with titled show pedigrees?

Yes, either the parents or grandparents have titled show pedigrees.

What age do you let your kittens go?

Responsible breeders sell their kittens at 12 weeks or older. Many do not sell their kittens until they are between four and six months old. There are some who argue that a kitten is ready to be sold at age 10 weeks; while most responsible breeders do not believe that this is best, it’s within acceptable ranges. However, any breeder who offers you a kitten younger than 10 weeks of age is not up on his or her research and doesn’t have the kitten’s best interest in mind. Run -- don’t walk -- from a breeder selling kittens so young.

What type of food is the kitten eating?

We feed 4 Health Cat food made by Tractor Supply. We recommend free feeding your kitten and not just feeding at certain times.

Will the kitten be spayed/neutered?

We do not spay/neuter the kitten. The purchaser is required to do that.

What support do you offer kitten buyers?

I am available by phone or email to answer questions.

Will the kitten be litter box trained?

We use pelleted pine litter. The kittens start using the litter box at an early age.

Do you offer shipping?

We do not ship but you can arrange for a pet transport company to pick up the kitten.
